Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data Raise the Colours (raisethecolours.co.uk) collects and how we use it.
Who we are
Raise the Colours is the data controller for this website. You can contact us at contact@raisethecolours.co.uk.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you choose to join our list. We also record which page you signed up from, so we can improve the site.
- Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics — we don’t set advertising or tracking cookies, and we can’t identify you from this data.
Why, and our lawful basis
We use your email only to send updates about England’s 1100th birthday — news, the bank-holiday campaign, and (later) the shop and book. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by subscribing and can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
Your email is stored with our email provider, who processes it on our behalf, and the site is hosted on Vercel. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link; to exercise any other right, email contact@raisethecolours.co.uk.
Cookies
We don’t use marketing or tracking cookies. Our analytics is cookieless.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
